Pipelayer - Currently Hiring |
Duties:
• Assembles and installs valves, pipe fittings, services and pipes.
• Positions, joins, aligns, and seals pipe sections.
• Joins pipes by use of bolts, fittings or plastic solvent.
• Cuts and threads pipe.
• Signals equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade specifications.
• Uses a hand shovel to manually locate underground facilities that have been marked.
• Reads grade rod and makes adjustments as needed for cut and fill.
• Levels earth to fine grade specifications with hand shovel.
• Pours concrete for thrust blocks and encasements.
• Fills pipe system with water or air and reads pressure gauges to determine whether system is leaking.
Requirements:
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years related experience required.
• Drivers license required, CDL with tanker endorsements preferred.
This is a full-time position, wage is dependant on experience.
